Guide / Website cost in Hyderabad

How much does a website cost in Hyderabad?
Published 2026 prices, with their sources.

Four 2026 price guides put a static site of up to five pages at ₹5,000 to ₹50,000, a business website at ₹10,000 to ₹2,00,000, an online store at ₹25,000 to ₹8,00,000 or more, and a custom web application at ₹75,000 to ₹20,00,000 or more. Add 18% GST if the seller is registered, and ₹4,000 to ₹70,000 a year to keep the site running.

Every figure on this page comes from a published source, linked where it is used and listed at the end. They are not our prices. We quote per project after one call. The ranges are wide because the word website covers both a five-page brochure and a store with a payment gateway. Use them to tell whether a quote is in the normal range.

The short answer

Website cost in Hyderabad
by type of site, 2026.

The published span is the lowest and highest figure across the four guides. Three are national guides dated 2026. The fourth, from Hyderabad, is undated. Redpulse lists metro business sites at ₹30,000 to ₹1,50,000, which is the bracket Hyderabad falls in.

What drives the price

Why one site is quoted
₹10,000 and ₹2,00,000.

Template or designed from scratch

A bought theme with your logo swapped in is most of the gap between the bottom of each range and the middle. A design made for your business, tested on a phone, costs more and converts better. Ask which one the quote is for.

Page types, not page count

Twenty service pages built from one layout cost little more than five. A home page, a service page, a case study and a booking flow are four different builds. Count the layouts in the quote.

Integrations

Razorpay or UPI checkout, WhatsApp, a CRM, a booking calendar or an ERP each add build and testing time. Most of the price of a store or an application is here.

Who writes the copy

If you supply text, the quote is lower and the launch usually waits for you. If the studio writes it, budget for it. Content is the item that slips most often.

Who does the work

Clutch lists Indian web design firms under $25 an hour against $100 to $149 for the market it surveys. Inside India, freelancers bill ₹400 to ₹2,500 an hour (Wild Flower Digital) or ₹500 to ₹2,000 (Zethic), and Zethic puts small-agency projects at ₹80,000 to ₹3,00,000.

What you are handed at the end

A site you own, with the code, the domain and the hosting in your name, costs more up front than one rented to you. It is cheaper by year three, and you can change suppliers.

Year one and year two

What it costs
to keep a website running.

The build is paid once. These costs come back every year. A domain and shared hosting alone come to about ₹4,000 to ₹10,000 a year. With a maintenance plan the total is ₹15,000 to ₹70,000. Ask for the renewal price, not the first-year offer. Domain India, for example, charges ₹575 to register a .in and ₹625 to renew it.

GST

18% GST,
and when it is missing.

Website and software development is taxed at 18% in India, billed under SAC 998314, IT design and development services (IndiaFilings). Within Telangana that appears as 9% CGST and 9% SGST. From another state it is 18% IGST.

A supplier of services must register for GST once their turnover passes ₹20 lakh a year, or ₹10 lakh in Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura (CBIC). A quote without GST is therefore not always a discount. A small freelancer may not be registered. If your business is registered, a tax invoice with the seller’s GSTIN usually lets you claim the 18% back as input tax credit. Ask whether the price is inclusive or exclusive before comparing two quotes.

Payment terms

Pay in stages,
not all up front.

A common structure is an advance to book the work, a payment when the design is approved, and the balance at launch. Avoid paying the full amount before you have seen a design. Tie the last payment to the handover: the domain, hosting and code in your accounts, and the admin logins in your hands.

For applications, pay per phase. A fixed price for a first useful version, then a new quote for the next one, keeps the risk on both sides small.

Hidden costs and lock-in

What a cheap quote
can leave out.

Most surprises arrive in year two, when you try to change something or someone.

A domain in their account

A free domain is often registered to the seller. Moving it later needs their cooperation.

Hosting you cannot see

A reseller plan with no login of your own means every change, and every exit, goes through them.

Licences in their name

Premium themes, page builders and plugins licensed to the seller stop updating when they leave.

No source code

Without the code or full admin access, a new developer starts again rather than from where you are.

Copy and images

Stock images without a licence, and text that the seller says remains theirs.

Edits billed per change

A site you cannot update yourself turns every price change into an invoice.

We hand over everything on launch day. What our handover includes.

Before you sign

Eight things to check
in any website quote.

  1. 01

The domain is registered in your name, in an account you log in to.

  2. 02

Hosting is billed to you, or the contract says it moves to you on request at no charge.

  3. 03

The quote says whether GST is included, and the invoice will carry the seller’s GSTIN.

  4. 04

The quote lists the page types, the integrations and the number of revision rounds.

  5. 05

You know who writes the copy, and when it is due.

  6. 06

Payment is split into milestones, and the last one is paid when the accounts and code are handed to you.

  7. 07

The year-two costs are written down: domain, hosting, maintenance and any licences.

  8. 08

You have the source code or the CMS admin login by launch day, not at the end of a retainer.

Common questions

Questions about website cost, answered.

How much does a website cost in Hyderabad in 2026?

Published 2026 guides put a static site of up to five pages at ₹5,000 to ₹50,000, a business website with a CMS at ₹10,000 to ₹2,00,000, an e-commerce store at ₹25,000 to ₹8,00,000 or more, and a custom web application at ₹75,000 to ₹20,00,000 or more. Add 18% GST if the seller is registered.

What does a website cost each year after it is built?

About ₹4,000 to ₹10,000 a year for a .in or .com domain and shared hosting, and ₹15,000 to ₹70,000 a year with a maintenance plan. Cloud hosting for a store or application adds ₹12,000 to ₹60,000.

Is GST charged on website development?

Yes, at 18%, under SAC 998314. A supplier of services only has to register once turnover passes ₹20 lakh a year, so a small freelancer may quote without it. A registered business can usually claim the GST back as input tax credit.

How long does it take to build a website?

Published guides give 3 days to 3 weeks for a static site, 1 to 4 weeks for a business site, 3 to 10 weeks for an online store and 6 weeks to 6 months for a custom web application. Content that arrives late is the most common delay.

Why do quotes for the same website differ so much?

They are rarely for the same thing. Quotes differ on template versus custom design, the number of page layouts, integrations such as payments or a CRM, who writes the copy, and whether the domain, hosting and code end up in your name.

Is a freelancer or an agency cheaper?

A freelancer usually is, at ₹400 to ₹2,500 an hour in published rates. An agency costs more and should bring a process, a team and contracted support. Either way, make sure the accounts are in your name, so you can change supplier later.
